Culture Box Program
The Albuquerque Council for International Visitors (ACIV) proposes to establish a Culture Box Program for use in Albuquerque classrooms with emphasis on K-5 grades.
The boxes would also be available to community groups (scouts, Y’s, church groups, etc.). The boxes will be created through partnership with local organizations and individuals who have an interest in a particular country or culture.
The goal is to have 10 boxes ready for the fall semester 2012. Initial collaboration will be with the Menaul School, the Latin American and Iberian Institute (LAII) at UNM, and Albuquerque Sister Cities to help us develop the first 10 boxes.
