Our Strength is Our People
From the youngest to the oldest, from the meekest to the boldest, from the nimblest to the slowest, each has something to give.
Our volunteer programmers, office staffers, transporters, family hosts and Board Members contribute a valuable to service to the efficient running of the ACIV.
We encourage volunteers to come together, and we wholeheartedly promote two-way communication with a regular newsletter and special events which serve to highlight our appreciation for their efforts.
This past year we organized several exciting events for our members. Most were directly associated with our international visitors programs visits, but others were of special character.
For example, in October 2004, we hosted a special evening with the then-U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Mr. John Danforth and his wife, Sally. This visit also served to underscore Albuquerque's 'drawing power' as a truly international city.
